About Us

Symo Corporation is serving the South African storage needs since 1931. It is one of the most experienced engineering firms in South Africa, manufacturing ground-breaking products from stainless steel, mild steel and other similar materials.

We employ more than 600 people and manufacture more than 2,000 different products in our factory in Elandsfontein, Gauteng.

Recognising its social responsibility, Symo Corporation supports disabled individuals as well as previously disadvantaged communities by sub-contracting to or purchasing from them. The company is committed to empowerment and employment equity.

Four Companies

The group consists of four companies, each focusing on separate niche markets:

Symo Storage

Designs, manufactures and installs racking and shelving, including mezzanine flooring.

Symo-Tech

Fabricates sheet metal products such as telephone booths, enclosures and telecommunication centres.

Symo Glazing

Provides power coated steel windows and doors for residential, high-density housing and commercial purposes. The in-house powder coating plant provides high quality powder coating for all divisions in the group, as well as external powder coating requests from various industries.

Symore Engineering

Manufactures ironmongery and metal pressing hinges and hardware products.
